Today is the day for the official release of the much-anticipated new "Leopard" operating system from Apple.
The £85 buy will get Mac users the latest refresh to the Mac OS - long overdue as the last update was over 30 months ago.
"Leopard, the sixth major release of Mac OS X, is the best upgrade we’ve ever released", said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
Leopard's new desktop promises a redesigned 3D Dock with Stacks, an updated Finder, includes Cover Flow, and a system backup offering called Time Machine.
The software goes on sale in Apple stores and resellers across the country at 6pm tonight.
