As part of our iPhone coverage leading up to the big launch of Apple's mobile on 9th November, we are presenting one "iPhone Killer" a day, that we believe offers an alternative to Apple's mobile.

HTC's Touch, and the more recent Touch Dual, both fit into that category in our opinion, as they have been described as a good alternative to the iPhone, but for Windows Mobile devotees.

The original Touch has been out since before the iPhone, but the newest version is the HSDPA-enabled Touch Dual.

This model features HTC's TouchFLO gesture-recognition technology that includes the ability to view photo slideshows using on-screen controls and to zoom and rotate images one-handed.

TouchFLO also allows enhanced finger touch scrolling and browsing of web pages on its 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen.

The HTC Touch Dual offers Windows Mobile 6.0 professional software and all associated productivity that goes along with it.

Other features of this capable smartphone include a 2-megapixel camera plus front facing camera for video calling, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and 256MB flash, 128MB RAM memory.

Both the Touch, and the Touch Dual, are available now, from free on contract.
