NEWS: 7 November 2007 12:24 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott These Designer Emulation Kits take the idea of using a battery as a lamp and extend it to take in classic lighting designs. For use with an ordinary 9-volt battery, the kits are meant as "the sincerest homage to some of the greatest modern designers of our time" such as Philippe Starck. At $30 per self-build kit, that comes in a funny plastic pop out flat-pack like toy soldiers used to, we think they are pretty cool and would make great gifts for designer friends.
