GEAR4 launches BluFM FM and Bluetooth transmitter

Music streaming and hands-free calls

NEWS: 7 November 2007 15:28 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

GEAR4 has launched the BluFM that they say it "not just an FM transmitter" as it also pairs up with your mobile phone to let you take calls handsfree over your car stereo.

Paired with a Bluetooth mobile phone the BluFM will interrupt our music with a ring tone for incoming calls and allow you to take the call over the car stereo.

It has a built-in microphone to pick up your voice and transmit it over the radio and features Digital Signal Processing technology for echo cancellation. Once your call is finished, your tunes will kick back in automatically.

The FM transmitter function is compatible with any portable music player. Simply plug the BluFM into your cigarette lighter, use the 3.5mm audio cable provided to link it to your iPod or other portable music player, then choose an available frequency and listen away wirelessly.

The BluFM will be available from the end of November for £49.99.
