Nag, nag, nag … but in the nicest possible way

NEWS: 26 November 2007 0:00 GMT by Ian Hughes

Face it boys: women are just more organised. They remember birthdays, anniversaries, social arrangements, doctors appointments, things you said in an argument 6 months ago, etc, etc, ad infinitum.

No surprise really then that this site chose a female avatar to personalise their reminder service.

Once signed up you can email "Sandy" things that you'll need reminders for. "She" will "read" your email, store it away in her (no doubt) colossal digital brain and then send you a reminder when the time comes.

All very clever and apart from a slightly awkward moment when Mrs H wanted to know what all the sudden new emails from somebody called Sandy were all about, it has transformed my life.

I reckon I might get a bit tired of her constant cheerfulness and to be honest the Americanisms are a bit grating (the only people allowed to say "ciao" in my book are the Italians and as for "howdy"…) but on the whole a very useful person to have in your address book.

But is it wrong to find an animated female vaguely attractive? What am I thinking - Lara croft upset the hormones of an entire generation...
