Dell XPS M1730 World of Warcraft editions launched in US

Horde or Alliance decaled hardware

NEWS: 5 December 2007 17:42 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Dell is offering two high-end XPS M1730 gaming laptops created in tribute to the popular online gaming movement that is World of Warcraft.

Coming in either "Horde" or "Alliance" designs to match gamer's proclivities, the new PCs are a touch on the pricey side.

A starting price of $4499 gets you a 17-inch widescreen display, Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive although if you want a really tricked out model you could expect to pay as much as $8000.

As well as a well-specced portable gaming machine, there are special WoW bits and bobs for you to justify that price tag.

The machines are pre-loaded with the games and all major game patches and there's a Golden Ticket for a custom FigurePrint of your actual in-game World of Warcraft character with your actual armor and weapons.

In addition, and no doubt of major interest to hardcore fans, there's a World of Warcraft Beta Club Key Card with a key to future World of Warcraft beta tests, World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition Account Upgrade Certificates and exclusive desktop background artwork, screensavers, soundtrack, novels, strategy guide, etc, etc, the list goes on...
