Toshiba Qosmio G40 launches with HD DVD-RW "World's first" gets Japanese launch

Toshiba has launched the first-to-market laptop with an HD DVD-RW drive in Japan.
The Qosmio G40 is the same 17-inch model available in other territories (the UK can currently get involved with the model that offers HD DVD-R) but is now offered with updated Intel innards and HDTV tuners.
This will no doubt eventually make its way to other markets, but when, and perhaps more crucially, how much, we will have to wait and see...
