NEWS: 4 January 2008 23:23 GMT by Stuart Miles

Energizer has said it will showcase a new range of light products and an iPod battery charger at this year's CES show, in Las Vegas starting on 7 January.

The battery company says it will launch the Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod, a battery-powered device that provides up to 46 hours of music playback on an iPod nano, as well as, the Energizer Light on Demand; a home lighting product line that provides emergency light when the power goes out.

The Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod is a battery-powered device charges and provides extended playtime to a variety of iPod models.

Designed to complement the iconic styling of the iPod according to Energizer when powered with its own Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries users will be able to get more than 40 hours of music playback and 11 hours of video playback on a 30GB iPod with video.

The Energizer Light on Demand line will offer seven models that provide versatile lighting for everyday and emergency use in the home.

At the heart of each Light on Demand model is a removable light stick, which is equipped with internal, rechargeable batteries.

The lights can function in their specific unit, and in most of the products in the line, they also are detachable and can serve as an area light and/or flashlight. In an extended power outage, each model can also run on three AAA batteries, providing continual emergency lighting.

No word on pricing as yet.
