Namco has announced that the latest version of the arcade classic Soul Calibur will give gamers the ability to duel Darth Vader and Yoda from Star Wars.

Soul Calibur IV, which will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will feature the characters from the Sci-Fi films however, disappointing not on the same version.

The Sith Lord Darth Vader will only appear as a guest character in the PlayStation 3 system version of the title, while Jedi Master Yoda will be available for the Xbox 360.

Shown in high-def graphics, Soulcalibur IV's makers say that the new game offers an entirely new battle system that promises to revolutionise the fighting game genre.

Featuring an expanded customisation mode, Soulcalibur IV allows players to personalise a character to look and perform as they desire.

Also, for the first time in the franchise, customised characters or original favourites can be taken online to challenge others.
