Macworld2008: Macally launches four Mac mice

Pebble, Pebble Wireless, Turtle and Accuglide

NEWS: 16 January 2008 6:58 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Macally has debuted four new mice products for Macs that they are showcasing at the Macworld event in San Fran.

The Accuglide uses newly-developed Opto-mechanical technology, which claims to combine laser sensor performance with optical sensor safeties and 800 dpi for precision and smooth control.

It connects to a computer via a USB port, while its low-profile design makes it easy to carry and use. It has a price of $19.99.

The Pebble Wireless is a five-button wireless mouse uses 2.4GHz to connect to a computer. It can be used in a range of resolutions (400, 800 and 1600 dpi) and features a swivel cover to hide the IR receiver when not in use.

Macally claims the ergonomic design features make it comfortable and easy to use. It will cost $29.99.

The Pebble is also a five-button mouse that features a programmable four-way scroll button with tilt-wheel technology.

Like the Pebble Wireless, it has a selectable laser resolution (400, 800 and 1600 dpi), an ergonomic design and connects to a computer via USB. On sale for $19.99.

The Turtle is a USB mouse described as "ideal for use with a Mac notebook".

It features a retractable USB cord that extends to the desired length, then tucks inside a compartment, preventing the cord from tangling with other items inside a briefcase.

It offers an 800 dpi precision laser, ergonomic design and a compact size. $19.99.

The new mice products from Macally are available now and will work with both Macs and PCs.
