Sony has launched the DPF-V900, DPF-V700 and DPF-D70, which for those not familiar with Sony's product codes, are new digital photo frames.

The new "S-Frame" range offers a photo-realistic LCD panel and auto orientation sensor for correct landscape/portrait display.

The DPF-V900 offers a 9-inch ultra-high resolution (WVGA) screen while the DPF-V700 and DPF-D70 are 7-inch models.

The V-prefixed models, offer HDMI output, a BIONZ processor for quick opening with large image files, PC-free auto-enhancement functions including red-eye reduction and skin smoothing plus exposure and focus correction as well as HD output for PhotoTV HD optimised viewing.

The DPF-700 gives the user a 512MB (1000-image) internal memory with digital album.

The frames claim to provide easy file transfer from a connected PC to the frame's internal memory with no software required, alternatively, the DPPA-BT1 Bluetooth Adaptor product can beam it all wirelessly.

The frames will be available in the UK from May, pricing to be confirmed.
