Samsung announce ultra silm i5 UIltra thin camera from Samsung

Not wanting to miss out on the press and sales the Nikon S1 is getting at the moment, Samsung has released a new ultra-slim digital camera set to retail for under £250.

The new model will measure only 17.3mm and feature a 2.5in 230k LCD display

Called the i5m, the camera offers 5 mega-pixel resolution and an internal 3x optical zoom; 5x digital zoom.

In keeping with the style/consumer audience it is hoping to draw with the model, the i5 will come in silver, black, red and blue shades.

The i5 also features a separate SF (Safety Flash) button makes it easy for the user to access the feature, MPEG-4 that when used with a 256MB memory can record up to 2 hours 10 minutes of movie with sound, built-in movie editing function that allows movie clips to be edited within the camera.

Additionally the camera offers various scene modes such as Night Scene, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Text Recognition, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach and Snow. Text mode extends the camera's application potential allowing the user to shoot documents such as books and magazines.
