A new phone that will allow you to a check your health on the go has been shown off at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The new handset, currently only available in Japan on the NTT DoCoMo network should be coming to the UK later this year, a spokesperson from the company revealed to Pocket-lint.

The rather large prototype handset is called the "Wellness Handset" and features sensors to measure body fat, your pulse - and - how bad your breath smells.

The phone also includes a pedometer to allow you to count your steps when out and about.

Users will also be able to connect the phone to a centralised service which allow you to manage your health easily whenever you like by recording various types of data such as eating habits and exercise. You'll also be able to share your data (if you'd want to) with your family and friends.

Those not interested in keeping well can also benefit from the onboard MP3 player.
