Launched in Korea from Young Toys, the new "Zeki" is a "kid-use digital toy phone".

Through Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, the Zeki can communicate with the parent's phone over up to 80 metre distance and data can be exchanged too.

As well as boasting a child-friendly design, the phone is made from "harmless" materials, presumably in case your little darling tries to chomp on it, and is especially shielded against electromagnetic waves to protect your toddler's precious grey stuff.

To keep the little brats amused, a range of content including MP3 tracks and mobile games can be downloaded to the handset.

The Zeki will cost 99,500 Korean won - around £50.
