KaZaA Lite shut down- By KaZaA

Sharman Networks, original developers of KaZaA, see quite a future in their ad-supported and spyware riddled peer-to-peer software and don't want a rival based on its code impeding their growth. Therefore, every link accessible from within K++ was rendered inaccessible from the start of this week...for "copyright reasons".
Users are understandably unhappy, but just as Napster shut down and went legit, expect KaZaA to do the same, in a period when Coca-Cola announced their own legalised download service which the UK can sign up to straight away rather than being another US-only service.
Users can still download DietK for the moment, which will plug in to KaZaA and allow it to work without the spyware. Users will probably choose this solution or migrate to any other of the well known P2P clients.
