Nokia tries to throw out yet another Qualcomm case

Claims it has already paid $1bn to chip manufacturer

Qualcomm has filed 11 lawsuits around the world over more than 2 years against Nokia; and hasn't won any to date.

But it just keeping going despite two defeats - in both the UK and the US - only weeks ago.

In this latest court wrangle, in Delaware, Nokia is claiming that all of Qualcomm's patents that it is using are paid up, and should now be viewed as royalty-free.

In fact, Nokia is claiming to have paid Qualcomm around $1 billion over 15 years for full access to its early mobile technology patents.

Nokia pointed to the terms of 1992 and 2001 agreements with Qualcomm.

Qualcomm is not commenting.
