This may look familiar, as we brought you news of it when it first floated into view in cyberspace, but Bowers & Wilkins has launched its unusual "Zeppelin" iPod speaker in the UK.

With technology borrowed from Bowers & Wilkins' award winning high-end speaker range, the British company state there's 40 years of technology and know-how crammed into their first iPod-friendly offering.

As well as sound quality, the Zeppelin offers direct iPod control while the device is docked, and a spring-loaded mounting system that plays nice without separate adaptors.

Video is also catered for, as Zeppelin supports the streaming of images to any screen from an appropriately equipped iPod.

The B&W Zeppelin costs £399 and is available now throughout the UK.
