Firebox to offer affordable Aiptek camcorders

More pocket-friendly SD models

Firebox are offering the "sleek and stylish" AHD200 entry level camcorder.

With a £150 price tag, the new Aiptek model joins the ranks of affordable camcorders that offer 720p HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) at 30fps, as well as a 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen and 16:9 widescreen recording.

An "extra long" rechargeable li-ion battery powers the device that also boasts one-touch recording and quick start and supports SDHC memory cards up to 32GB.

A step up model will also be offered in the guise of the Z300HDV featuring snazzy night mode video recording and a 3x optical zoom.

The Z300HDV also has a macro mode for close up video recording of up to 5cm and offers still picture capture of up to 8-megapixels.

The Aiptek AHD200 will go on sale for £149.95 and the Z300HDV £199.95, available imminently from Firebox.
