NEW TODAY:

LaCie's Hard Disk, Design by Neil Poulton does the triple

USB, eSATA and FireWire

NEWS: 3 April 2008 17:24 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

LaCie has announced the latest model of its Hard Disk, Design by Neil Poulton - a new triple interface version consisting of USB 2.0, eSATA, and Firewire 400 in capacities of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB.

Created exclusively for LaCie by designer Neil Poulton, the "sleek and compact" device has a black-mirrored finish and includes a unique blue LED strip that LaCie says enhances the "storage experience".

The new version of the device can connect to any universal USB 2.0, eSATA, or FireWire 400 interface port for cross-platform compatibility with either a PC or Mac. Plug and play setup is claimed to be simple and efficient with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.

The product comes preloaded with LaCie "1-Click" Backup Software for PC and Mac and the Mac-only SilverKeeper, and it offers LaCie Setup Assistant too.

The Hard Disk, Design by Neil Poulton is available now and can be gotten through LaCie direct or via LaCie dealers at a suggested price of £99.00 for the 500GB, £149.00 for the 750GB and £199 for the 1TB version.
