NEW TODAY:

Power Surfboard available for the lazy

Motorised stick

NEWS: 8 April 2008 12:18 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Although most "proper" surfers will no doubt think this is like, totally bogus, the lazier among us can now enjoy the surfing experience without braving the ocean waves.

Equipped with a 9.5 horsepower, 4-stroke gasoline propeller engine, the Power Surfboard lets you surf through any body of water at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour.

The speed of the board is controlled through the handheld throttle and riders change directions by shifting body weight like a typical surfboard.

With the hull made of fibre glass, this electronic surfboard is 8 feet in length, 27.5-inches wide and weighs 112lbs.

Available in blue, red, yellow and white, the Power Surfboard is available in the States now for $3250.
