Imation's tiny "Atom" flash drives launch

Paperclip-sized

NEWS: 9 April 2008 15:33 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Coming only a day after Super Talent's tiny PICO flash drives, Imation has launched their "Atom" flash drives.

Described as the size of a paperclip, Super Talent's world's smallest claim is safe with their 31.3 x 12.4 x 3.4mm PICO just beating the Atom's 30.5 x 13 x 5.6mm in a small-off.

The new Atoms are still fair old small though, to give Imation their due, and come in a stylish aluminium design, available in capacities ranging from 1GB to 8GB.

The Atom Flash Drive features password and drive partitioning that gives the user control over secure data, as well as the ability to share content with other users.

With a capless design, key chain making it simple to attach the drives to key rings and bags, the drives are compatible with Windows Ready Boost too.

The Imation Atom flash drives are available now, we are waiting for confirmation of pricing.
