Take the guesswork out of generating passwords

NEWS: 28 April 2008 0:00 GMT by Ian Hughes

Right.
Think, Ian, think.

Town of birth? Too obvious.
First school? Ditto.
Mother's maiden name? First Pet? A combination of the two? (which if I recall correctly gives me my "porn name" if an email that I, and everybody else in the English-speaking world once received, was to be believed. And no, I'm not telling you what it was...)

Damn, thinking up a new password can be a bit of a drag.

Voila! Newpass to the rescue. Select the kind of password you're looking for and then fill in the blanks. A few seconds later you'll get a randomly generated (allegedly) unbreakable password.

Remembering it is another matter entirely.
