Nokia has unveiled some scant details on a trio of mobile devices that "balance stunning and sophisticated looks with the latest in mobile functionality" coming later in the year.

Nokia says all three new devices, the Nokia 6600 fold, the Nokia 6600 slide and the Nokia 3600 slide "present a smooth, minimalist design and an appealing array of easy-to-use features".

The Nokia 6600 fold is a 3G handset with a 2-megapixel camera with double LED flash.

The Nokia 6600 fold offers a 2.13-inch OLED screen displaying up to 16 million colours.

With a "seamless" design, Nokia says the device has a signature "smooth back" appearance while the front has a high-gloss surface and "comes to life" when tapped twice to "wake up" the hidden outer display that reveals time, incoming messages, missed calls and more.

A double tap on the Nokia 6600 fold also snoozes alerts and silences or rejects incoming phone calls.

The Nokia 6600 will have a retail price of 275 euros (approx £215) excluding taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia 6600 slide is one of Nokia's smallest sliders to date, and it said to "smoothly glide open in the hand".

The 6600 slide has a glossy, "high-quality" steel cover and aluminium centre key. Tapping the Nokia 6600 slide twice also indicates time, snoozes, alerts and silences or rejects incoming phone calls.

The phone also offers a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 2.2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colours, integrated Nokia Maps application.

The Nokia 6600 slide will have an estimated retail price of 250 euros (£195) excluding taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia 3600 slide offers tactile, soft ceramic paint and metal combined with high gloss surfaces and graduated colours to make and is the first Nokia product to feature background noise cancellation.

With a built-in music player the Nokia 3600 slide offers up to 3000 favorite songs on an optional 4GB microSD card.

The Nokia 3600 slide also offers a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and two-LED flash, TV-out and pre-installed Nokia Maps Maps.

The Nokia 3600 slide will have an estimated retail price of 175 euros (£140) excluding taxes and subsidies.

All three handsets will be available in third quarter of 2008, along with a new Bluetooth headset, the BH-803, that is designed to complement the phones.
