Acer H5350 projector promises cinema experience

720p for £589

NEWS: 29 April 2008 16:04 GMT by Katie Scott

Acer launched the H5350 home cinema projector with the promise that it will "transform any living room into a home theatre" for under £600.

Complete with PS3/Xbox 360 and Blu-ray friendly HDMI port, content is displayed at 720p resolution (1280 x 720).

Additional features worth a mention are the 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio and the projector is powered by Colorboost, a technology that provides more than a 50% increase in mid-tone image brightness, says the manufacturer.

The detachable control pad gives access to Acer's tools including eView Management, which adjusts projector settings to suit any lightning environment and any type of content and the SmartFormat technology, which provides multi-format support.

The H5350 comes complete with a 2-year carry-in warranty and is priced £589.
