Olympus introduces the C-760 Ultra Zoom, the smallest and lightest digital camera currently on the market to feature a 10x zoom lens (equivalent 42-420mm). This 3.2 megapixel model is ideal for capturing sweeping mountain ranges or expansive architecture. Furthermore, for those finer detailed shots, the C-760 UZ features a super macro mode for shooting from just 3cm away. Available from February 2004 exclusively through Jessops, RRP will be £349.99 [inc VAT].
The C-760 UZ's electronic viewfinder enables you to frame shots more precisely and thanks to its 240, 000 pixel resolution, crystal clear pictures may be viewed every time. Furthermore, you can keep your eye on the subject at all times as all activated settings are displayed in the electronic viewfinder.
The C-760 UZ's auto mode offers point-and-shoot simplicity for flawless photos. For those more creative moments you can employ greater control by using the shutter priority, aperture priority or full manual settings. The model also boasts 4 scene programmes (portrait, sports, night scene and landscape) providing greater versatility for specific occasions.
The C-760 UZ is equipped with a very bright (f2.8-3.7), high-quality optical system which comprises eleven elements arranged in seven groups, including two aspherical lenses and an ED element. Usually only found in advanced SLR cameras this system significantly helps to reduce chromatic aberration thus increasing the life-span of the camera.
Furthermore, the C-760 UZ features a movie mode to capture video with sound; ideal for recording sporting moments or family gatherings. The USB 2.0 Autoconnect interface ensures speedy transfer of these files to the computer.
