It's not too often that this born and bred egg-chaser from the Valleys gets too excited about the FA Cup, but this year, the mighty Bluebirds and their, ahem, exuberent fans are on their way to Wembley to take on the scourge of the South Coast, Portsmouth.
Cardiff City haven't been in the final for 81 years, while Pompey were last there in 1939 and believe it or not the two teams have never met in the competition. The last time that happened was when Crystal Palace took Manchester United to a 3-3 nail biter in 1990.
So a lot to play for; not least a place in the lucrative European competition next year. Technically Cardiff City don't qualify to play in Europe, as Welsh teams (affiliated members of the English FA) are not allowed to represent England. Thankfully the FA have granted special dispensation to the Bluebirds - if they win the cup.
All the information you could possibly want is here from team line-ups and their routes to Wembley through to the long history of the FA Cup itself.
So it's going to be an epic afternoon tomorrow and for once I can't wait!
