X-Light brings songs to your sink with Surround basin image

As you chew your toothbrush, and try and wipe the sleep from your eyes with a flannel that smells a little bit musty, why not consider how much more enjoyable your matin ablutions would be with a merry tune or two.

Introducing the X-Light Surround basin, designed by Jan Puylaert, which is claimed to be the world's first musical sink.

It comes with a built-in amplified speaker system for your iPod, which means you can splash away to your favourite songs without having to ring up the insurance company and explain why your prized pod is covered in shaving foam and, errrr, not working.

No prices or availability yet but what a cool concept.
