Vita Audio has announced the launch of the the R4 Integrated Music System.

The R4 comprises of a multi-format CD player, integrated iPod dock, USB playback port, DAB/FM tuner and auxiliary inputs backed up by "audiophile-grade" sound.

The system offers "3D enhanced" stereo sound, 80 watts nominal power output and an integrated active subwoofer.

The R4 boasts Vita Audio's trademarked RotoDial that lets you select the required source and then "intuitively" control the system (and any iPods docked in it) while an improvement for the R4 means the RotoDial can also be detached and used as a remote control.

The slot loading CD player plays CD-Audio, MP3 and WMA music disks and there's a USB port for playback of MP3 and WMA music files plus a DAB and FM Tuner with RDS complete with clock and alarm functions.

The integrated iPod dock supports iPod Classic, iPod nano 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation, iPod touch, iPod mini, iPod with colour display, iPod 4th, 5th generation.

iPod shuffle, earlier models and other MP3 players are supported by front and rear auxiliary inputs.

Available in a "rich walnut" veneer for £499.99 or "dream white" high gloss lacquer for £549.99, the R4 will be on sale in June.
