Aliph's sequel to the well-received Jawbone headset has launched right at the top of the pile and become the company's new flagship product.

Such an accolade seems justified when glancing down the specs and considering the improvements over the first version, now being retired to make way for this new, sleeker effort.

The new Jawbone is half as small as the original, and now includes "NoiseAssassin" technology, an improvement on the noise cancelling tech of the original while there's a faster processor for the heavier signal processing in order to cancel out ambient noises better.

Weighing in at 10 grams, a new fast charge battery can juice the Jawbone up to 80% capacity in 30 minutes, but the overall battery life has suffered from the original's capacity, with 4 hours of talk time and 8 days of standby.

Available soon in the States for $130, the new Jawbone will initially be launched in black, but with rose gold and silver versions to come.
