Android gains momentum with RKS Mimique But which model does it mimic?

Southern Californian company RKS has taken advantage of the access to Google's open source Android platform, and built a phone around it.
Sleek, modern and errrr ... orange (or yellow or red), design pundits are already saying that the phone offers something similar to the iPhone's touch surface, while the designers emphasise that the phone's interface is customisable.
If it actually goes into production, could this be a model to match the Apple of Apple's eye?
