So here's a nice idea - a wok that can cook your grub much quicker than electronic and gas hobs, but without the threat of getting your hands burned when you get a bit over-excited with your stir-frying.

Those clever chaps at De Dietrich have devised a wok using induction technology which means that as long as you're not wearing a ring (or the pan has been on for ages), you can remove your wok and the cradle will be just balmy to touch (trust me, I've done it).

So no finger frying, which has to be a big plus if you have little nippers.

The 38cm Induction Wok Hob has a stainless steel frame; nine power levels, digital displays, programmable 99 minute timer and a whole host of safety features including anti-overflow; anti-overheat, residual heat indicators and a child lock.
