It could just qualify for the biggest iPod dock around. Singapore Airlines has announced that it is adding iPhone and iPod support for business customers.
Starting this month, flyers on its all-Business Class Airbus A340-500 flights between New York and Singapore, and between Los Angeles and Singapore from August will be able to watch and listen to their personal audio and video content from their iPod or iPhone via the in-flight entertainment system.
Each seat features a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD screen, as well as active noise-cancellation headphones and support for USB thumb drives to view holiday snapshots with Photo Viewer or watch videos on Media Player.
For the iPod and iPhone passengers will be given a cable that will allow them to charge the unit. Instructions made over the intercom will temporarily freeze the iPod and iPhone.
However the airline won't be allowing customers to use the wireless connectivity or phone element of the iPhone. It suggests customers can take advantage of iPhone's airplane mode to safely use the iPhone through the integrated system.
Each leather-upholstered Business Class seat measures 30 inches (76 cm) in width and are arranged in a 4-abreast, 1-2-1, layout, with every seat having direct access to the aisle. When it is time to sleep, the new Business Class seat converts into a fully-flat bed.
