Imation Apollo portable hard drives launch

Imation has launched the compact, portable "Apollo" 2.5-inch hard drive in capacities up to 320GB.

Imation describe the product range as "lightweight, stylish and extremely durable".

The USB-powered drives needs no external power and feature a midnight black-brushed surface with chrome detailing and a blue LED that indicates when back-ups are complete.

Weighing less than 250g, 160GB and 250GB models will also be available in addition to the top of the range 320GB model.

Across the range Total Media Backup software is included and the drives are suitable for all kinds of of digital files, designed for use with both PC and Mac systems, desktops and laptops.

The boast is that the drives offer backup, schedule, synchronise and restore functions with just a click of the mouse.
