Up to 16GB of colourful storage

NEWS: 22 May 2008 9:37 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Sony has announced the colourful MicroVault Click and Click Excellence flash drive ranges.

Both the MicroVault Click and Click Excellence ranges incorporate a "click" design to uncover and retract the USB connector for quick and easy use.

The MicroVault Click Excellence models, in sizes from 2GB to 8GB, are designed with business professionals in mind, boasting up to 31Mbps read and 11Mbps write speeds, in an "ivory" design, complete with LED indicator display which illuminates while transferring the data.

The mid-range MicroVault Click is smaller and lighter than previous models weighing in 9 grams. The colourful line-up offers storage capacity from 2GB up to 16GB.

All models offer Windows ReadyBoost compatibility and Sony's pre-installed Virtual Expander compression software that claims to allow storage of up to 3 times more data, depending on the file type and content.

The MicroVault Click and Click Excellence ranges are available from May 2008 with pricing not revealed.
