Eizo hit the headlines last year with a monitor specially designed for people with colour blindness.

Now the company has changed tack and is designing screens for game play.

The FlexScan HD2452W monitor will be released in Japan next month.

It has a 24-inch Full HD (WUXGA) screen with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 with a 450Cd/m2 brightness.

Additional specs - dual HDMI, DVI-D HDCP, D4-Video, S-Video, D-SUB, component port, as well as 24p true cinema mode.

As well as being perfect for hooking up to your games console, it can also be used with a PC and for watching Blu-ray movies.

It is expected to cost around 800 euros in Japan.
