If you need to boost the memory on your mobile, SanDisk is launching a new line-up of flash storage cards specifically designed for phones.

The Mobile Ultra range includes microSD, microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) flash mobile memory cards, which are available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities

These basically offer better side-loading speeds, which means that users will experience accelerated transfer rates of digital files to and from their mobile memory card and their computer.

The cards also offer higher capacity for storing and transferring music, videos, photos, games and maps on your mobile phone.

The cards are bundled with a MobileMate Micro Reader that plugs directly into a USB 2.0 port to assist in this quick transport and easy management of digital content.

With 8GB of digital storage, for example, consumers will be able to store 1000 songs, 1200 photos and 21 hours of video.

Prices range from £14.99 to £59.99 (including VAT).

They will be available in mid-to-late June 2008.

SanDisk Mobile Ultra cards come with a 10-year limited warranty.

  • I have an 'original' 8GB MicroSDHC with its included red MobileMate Micro Reader for my N82. Am I to assume that this seeming card re-brand has little effect on the mobile phones actual read/write speeds to/from the card?

That's the bit I'd care about most to be honest.
