Steampunk USB flash drive spotted

27 May 2008 17:12 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Meticulously made from hand-polished brass and copper, anything less metallic is just going to seem cheap and nasty after spotting this steampunked thumb drive.

If your Russian's up to scratch there's apparently a complete how to over yonder...

  • Nice one~! Certainly looks like a durable USB flash drive that can withstand some heat!

As there's no cap on these images I wonder if the USB adapter is hidden inside the drive and is connected to a mechanism to automatically slide it in/out of the casing?

Anyway, this looks like a nice and professional piece of work and hopefully we'll some more such USB flash drives out there in future.
