WWII radio retro iPod dock

4 June 2008 18:04 GMT / By Katie Scott

The oddly named iPod Boombox is a rather lovely looking retro iPod dock which offers the craftsmanship of a WWII battlefield radio with modern technology.

OK so your iPod may be a wonder of sleek, shiny modernity, but the Spirit of Saint Louis dock harkens back to an age before emails, before iPhones and yes before BlackBerrys - when life was simple (sigh!).

But it also lets you listen to your iTunes and play CDs through a pair of stereo speakers - which - nostalgia over - has got to be more exciting than listening to crackly old radio broadcasts.

It will set you back £299.99, which means you may have to "ration" your spending afterwards for a while.
