Sony unveils Bravia S4000 series 1080p Full HD in flagship model

Sony has introduced a new line-up of HD TVs.
The S4000 comprises four different models boasting 26-, 32-, 37- and 40-inch screens.
The top end model, which has the 40-inch screen, is built around the Bravia Engine 2 delivering a 24p True Cinema mode, as well as 1080p Full HD panel.
However, all of the models have an LCD panel that offers a very high dynamic contrast ratio of up to 33,000:1 "ensuring deep, cinema-like blacks plus sparkling highlights", claims Sony.
Design wise - the new line-up follows Sony’s new "draw the LINE" design concept.
This essentiallly means pared-down styling which does not distract from what’s on the screen.
"The cabinets feature a piano black finish, with clean, understated lines complemented by gently-rounded curves", explains the manufacturer.
There’s also a swivel base.
Other features worth a mention include the integrated DVB-C/DVB-T tuner for enjoying standard definition TV broadcasts, three HDMI sockets, allowing one-cable connection with a wide range of HD sources including PS3, Blu-ray Disc players and Handycam HD camcorders.
No pricing as yet but we'll keep you posted.
