Sagem launches two new Freeview Playback PVRs

Or DTRs, or set-top boxes, or HDD recorders...

NEWS: 30 June 2008 13:34 GMT by Amy-Mae Elliott

Sagem has announced two new "Digital TV Recorders" which they say provide consumers with a complete multimedia solution for the home.

Including all Freeview channels and a built-in personal video recorder, the DTR64160T and DTR67250T have 160GB or 250GB hard disk drives respectively, claiming 80- and 120-hour's worth of video.

The players offer rewind and catch-up features, including instant pause, record and rewind live TV, with a 2 hour continuous recording of what you are watching.

There's also the series-link feature that offers simple series capture, and twin tuners to record two programmes at the same time or watch them both with the picture-in-picture feature.

The players can also be used to store and play MP3 files and Jpeg images and claim a typical power consumption of less than 2W in stand-by mode and 15 in operation.

Available now the DTR64160T is priced at £99 while the DTR67250T, with HDMI connection, is £149.
