LG has teamed up with sound engineer Mark Levinson to create a new Hi-Fi with a big sound but not a big price.

"The only thing wrong with the system is the price", Levinson told Pocket-lint.

The new player called the FA163DAB will be a UK specfic model, although come in different skews for other terrorities, and feature FM/DAB radio, CD player and iPod dock on top, and USB ripping that allows you to copy music to a USB compatible MP3 player direct, but cost £200.

The FA163DAB will also feature touchscreen controls to match other LG products like the company's mobile phone range and will offer 160W of sound from two speakers. It will also feature two built-in, rather than separate subwoofer.

Levinson, currently LG's chief sound advisor, has previously worked with Lexus and Hardon-Kardon.

To help listeners further, Levinson has also created a four CD compilation set to show off the capablities of the Hi-Fi, however we are waiting to be informed as to whether this will be included in the box for new owners to show off their new Hi-Fi's prowess.

Levinson also let slip to Pocket-lint that this wasn't the only device he is working on with LG.

"We are working on stuff that will really tip over the apple cart", he said.
