LG Electronics has officially announced a new DAB radio, CD player and iPod dock called the LG PC12DAB in the UK that looks more like a rugby ball that your average speaker.

The new iPod dock will come in a gloss black finish, feature ambient red lighting and be LG’s first iDock to offer DAB radio.

Other specs include MP3, WMA playback and CD-R/RW, as well as the ability to copy music direct from a CD to a USB compatible MP3 player.

A four-mode audio equaliser offers sound effects such as POP, flat, classic and jazz, and an alarm clock complete the package.

The LG PC12DAB will be available in the UK from this month for around £200.
