Following the launch of the company's new television range; the Scarlet, LG has created a home cinema system to match.

The new HT953TV, which is hitting the UK this month, is a 1000W 5.1 DVD home cinema system featuring iPod connection and 10.1 virtual sound that, like the company's newly announced FA163, has been turned by audio expert Mark Levinson.

The system features an iPod connection, a HD AV sync function and LG’s SIMPLINK technology that promises to let users to operate their LG television and AV system with the same remote control.

The new home cinema system includes Virtual Sound Matrix (VSM) that creates five extra virtual speakers to replicate a 10.1 channel sound effect.

Like other Hi-Fi systems from the Korean company, the LG HT953TV also features USB ripping, a function which enables music to be copied to a USB compatible MP3 player directly.

Other specs include HDMI in and HDMI out, 1080p upscaling via the HDMI output, optical input for digital audio and playback compatibility such as DivX, DVD+R, DVD-RW, Audio, WMA, MP3 and JPEG.

The HT953TV is available in the UK now.
