Bloke queues to be world's first iPhone 3G owner

8 July 2008 14:04 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Barring any calamity, Jonny Gladwell from Auckland New Zealand will be the very first consumer in the world to own an iPhone 3G.

Queuing outside of a Vodafone store in New Zealand right now, the time difference means that the country's 12:01am launch will see Jonny handing over his credit card at about 1pm on Thursday 10 July.

  • Oh yes. he may be a sad bloke - but he's he got his picture in the news pages. 15 minutes of fame, just for sitting out on the pavement for a few hours.

I wish I'd been a sad loser and done that when the Sony PS3 was release in the UK in London - I would have got a big flat screen TV to go with it!
