Denon claims that its latest micro system, the D-M37DAB, has been specifically designed for us Brits.

It features a CD player driven by more than 60W of power, a radio with the all-important DAB, and a USB port for MP3 playback from portable audio devices.

Denon's optional dedicated ASD-1R dock brings full remote control over your iPod.

Size wise, the D-M37 is 210mm wide and 310mm deep – so about the same size as your average shoebox.

Denon says it has eliminated three sources of unwanted noise, to keep the D-M37 sounds "as clean as possible".

It continues: "The new design includes short signal paths, separation of digital and analogue sections, as well as a precision signal ground circuit for smooth, dynamic sound with negligible distortion".

The D-M37 micro system comes in either black or silver and will be available at the end of this month for £300.

The Denon RCD-M37DAB receiver is £230 while the Denon SC-M37 speakers are priced £70.
