With the promise of being water, wind, dust, dirt, and extreme temperature proof the Sonim XP1 tough phone is designed for builders up and down the land who are likely to get their phone trashed a lot easier than the rest of us.

It might not come with any real smartphone features, a digital camera or touchscreen, but it is, as we found out in this quick video, tough.

Better still the handset comes with a 3-year warranty that means if you do manage to break it, the company will send you another straight away.

Will it survive a beating? Watch us get brutal.
