Users of Windows Live Messenger will now be able to create emoticons of themselves thanks to a new campaign launched today by Microsoft called "Minimise Me".

Minimise Me (www.minimise-me.com) lets users build and customise their own miniature characters on the new interactive website.

The service gives users access to a variety of colours, resizing and reshaping options, as well as a selection of facial features, hairstyles and accessories that users can choose from to individualise their characters.

These personalised characters can then be uploaded as one-of-a-kind profile pictures onto Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces, Facebook and other social networking sites.

  • didnt make my flash player lock up when i was making emoticons...

It's pretty good, but they don't really look that recognisable, just use an icon maker to create your own emoticon from a photo or something, try this http://www.sherv.net/icon-maker/
