Claiming to offer "the ultimate build experience for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages", LEGO TECHNIC has launched a range of authentic models with advanced tech to bring the world of realistic construction and functionality to some iconic vehicles.

Designed to replicate real-life vehicle movement and functions, the new TECHNIC kits is said to be a complex building platform incorporating beams, gears, connecting and interlinking sections alongside the new "Power Functions System" elements.

Part of the new range is the muscular two-seat off-roader - an "incredibly realistic" LEGO TECHNIC model powered by a V8 engine

This rugged truck is full of working details and functions and includes built-in motorised Power Functions to raise and lower its ground clearance, operate the front-mounted winch or turn on the LED headlights.

The off-roader features hydraulic gull-wing doors, opening trunk and hatch, motorised suspension to raise and lower the truck and a working steering system.

The LEGO TECHNIC off-roader is available from August from all good toy shops for around £90.
