Firebox has launched the Busbi digital video camera, one of the growing breed of low-cost, simple SD-card based camcorders.

The "idiot proof" Busbi is battery-operated, running on two AA batteries, and has just four buttons: on/off, delete, playback and record.

The camera has a 2-inch LCD display and records in QVGA 320 x 240 pixel resolution in AVI format making it ideal for internet uploads to the likes of Facebook and YouTube, which is said to be easy with the included software.

There's AV hook-up for your telly, and USB (1.1) to link the camcorder to your Windows-based PC. The £35 camera comes complete with a 1GB SD card, said to be good for 60 minutes of recording, but can accept up to 2GB cards.

Measuring 10.6 x 6.2 x 3.3cm and weighing 72 grams without batteries, the teeny device is pocket-friendly and ready to record out of the box. It's on sale now from Firebox for £34.99.
