LG has confirmed, as we reported earlier, that it is entering the netbook market with the launch of the LG Netbook X110 at IFA in Berlin.

Available in a range of colours - white, black and pink, the mini laptop will be powered by Intel's Atom 1.6GHz chip, come with an 80GB hard drive and 3G support out of the box.

The LG Netbook is equipped with WLAN 802.11 b/g and 10/100 Ethernet for fast and stable connectivity. It has a WSVGA 10-inch widescreen

Following the UK launch, Phones 4u will be initially selling the netbook in pink and white, there will be a black variant available in due course.

The LG X110 will be around 399 euros (£322) when it launches next month.

UPDATE: We've heard rumours on the show floor that Orange will be offering the new netbook for free in the UK.

  • Looks like another company using the MSI Wind chassis. Nice to see it has 3G built in rather than using an extra dongle which I have to use with my Advent version, and some reports say it has GPS also which could be handy..... Posted by Pete Gunn, UK
